These diagrams are from a collection of fragments of an astrology and astronomy manuscript. This particular diagram is a depiction of a Jewish cabala (also spelled kabbalah) cipher as it was understood by Europe at the time during the 1400s. Cabala refers to the ancient Jewish tradition of mystical interpretation of the Bible, first transmitted orally and also through esoteric methods such as these ciphers.
